You will act as the technical lead for all process troubleshooting, debottlenecking and concept/feasibility projects delivered by the Malaysia Asset Optimisation practice.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing corrosion and metallurgical expertise in identified failure modes and failure mechanisms.

Dynamic Positioning (DP) is a computer-controlled system that automatically maintains a vessel's position and heading. Through our work with key oil majors, DP vessel and rig owners, shipyards, designers, regulators and classification societies, our enviable worldwide reputation for innovation and excellence means our expertise and knowledge is sought after by regulators and standard setters alike.
Whether it be authoring key guidance to the DP industry through our close involvement with IMCA, development of DP failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) and analysis of other complex technical systems through to DP trials, DP assurance, DP procedures, manuals and investigations, our experts lead the way.
Our global DP centre of excellence, in Aberdeen, houses a team of highly skilled DP specialists, providing a comprehensive range of services to clients across the globe. Principally onshore based, our centre of excellence also supports our regional competency centres in Houston, Halifax (Canada), Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Cairo, providing a truly global DP resource to the offshore industry.

While our DP team is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds, most of our team will either be an Electrical/Instrumentation specialists, Marine Engineers or Mariners.
For our graduate opportunities we are ideally looking for you to possess an Electrical Engineering degree and have a passion for developing your career in this field.
