You will act as the technical lead for all process troubleshooting, debottlenecking and concept/feasibility projects delivered by the Malaysia Asset Optimisation practice.

You will lead, motivate, and build a strong team which will deliver sustained business growth around the Asset Optimisation core services of dynamic simulation, pipeline simulation, process troubleshooting and debottlenecking and RAM.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing corrosion and metallurgical expertise in identified failure modes and failure mechanisms.
The Gas Quality Group within our Energy Management and Compliance team are responsible for providing rhinology and gas quality support relating to specification and measurement of pipeline natural gas, LNG and unconventional gases.
The group carries out development and specialist support to GasVLe and DANINT software and the GasPT hardware. GasVLe is sold under licence and used in-house to deliver project work. The DANINT software is used by each UK distribution company within their customer billing process and is critical to their business.
As a graduate chemist you will develop a strong understanding of gas quality, it's specification, measurement and calculation of gas properties and the uncertainties associated with those properties.

You will hold a Chemistry Degree, ideally specialising within thermodynamics or physical Chemistry and will have undertaken a relevant industrial placement within the Oil and Gas sector as part of your studies. You will also have a real interest in software and have experience of software programming in various languages such as Visual Basic for this unique opportunity.
You'll get plenty of opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills gained at University, developing invaluable oil and gas consulting experience while working on a wide variety of exciting international projects alongside our industry experts. We will also help you develop effective team working, consulting and communication skills along with exposing you to broader commercial aspects, to aid your progression towards becoming a chartered engineer.

As a small technical team it is essential that we develop and expand our technical expertise and knowledge to ensure that we continue to develop and support these products for the future. Therefore as a graduate in our team you will provide chemistry orientated support and consultancy, primarily to the international Oil & Gas and LNG industries.
