You will act as the technical lead for all process troubleshooting, debottlenecking and concept/feasibility projects delivered by the Malaysia Asset Optimisation practice.

You will lead, motivate, and build a strong team which will deliver sustained business growth around the Asset Optimisation core services of dynamic simulation, pipeline simulation, process troubleshooting and debottlenecking and RAM.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing corrosion and metallurgical expertise in identified failure modes and failure mechanisms.
Our Geotechnical and Jack-up practice in London is a worldwide centre of excellence for geotechnical assessments of jack-up drilling rigs, pile driveability analyses, anchor holding capacity, slope stability for excavations, foundation quayside analysis and retaining walls and more recently, site assessments for jack-up windfarm installation vessels.
Our client base encompasses oil companies, contractors, shipyards, consultants, designers and utility companies. We are looking for Graduates and industrial placement students to expand our capability and capacity in geotechnical analysis and design.

Whether you are a graduate or a student considering a career within this specialist area, you will typically have studied either a Geotechnical or Structural / Civil Engineering degree.
Whichever route you have come from you will possess heightened skills in analysing and interpreting data, finding patterns, drawing conclusions and an ability to solve complex, often unique engineering challenges.
You'll therefore need a passion for ongoing personal development, enhancing your skills, knowledge and expertise to become either a technical expert, a manager of technical projects or maybe a leader of a team within your chosen field. Perhaps you will have the ambition to one day lead a business unit and help shape our future strategy and direction?

Being a relatively small team, graduates and placement students play a pivotal role in the success of our Geotechnical and Jack-up engineering practice. We strive to continually challenge, stimulate and develop you, getting you contributing to real projects almost straight away after joining us.
You'll provide valuable support on a range of exciting and varied geotechnical projects including FE analyses, geotechnical design and report writing and other project work on behalf of the wider team as you grow and develop with us. Even projects that appear similar at first glance are often very different, presenting unique engineering challenges for you to overcome, many situations requiring a first principles approach to find effective solutions.
Working alongside our team of experts, we will ensure you receive all necessary training and support to be successful and provide mentoring to aid the progression towards Chartership with ImarEST or ICE amongst others.
