Our Requirements

You will possess a Computer Science, Engineering or Numerate degree (e.g. Maths, Physics) minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent. We seek graduates who have IT project experience gained in employment, on placement or at university. It is desirable that you possess some experience in GIS. You need to be flexible in the work you undertake and be eager to interface with our customers at their locations across the globe, therefore you will be expected to travel and work overseas for short periods of time. We are looking for people who are self-motivated and want to take ownership of their own development alongside our Graduate Programme and  be determined to pursue a career within Software Solutions.

The Graduate Development Programme

Mapped out over 24 months our Graduate Development Programme has been designed to build on your existing technical knowledge and through targeted training, equip you with all the technical expertise required to enable you to be successful. Whilst expert technical knowledge is core to our business and forms a fundamental part of your development, your communication, financial, commercial and project management skills will also be honed, giving you the overall foundations on which to build your career.

Training & Career Development

You'll find support whenever you need it. You'll join one of our core practice areas and be given the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting client projects alongside our globally renowned experts in technical areas such as Hazard & Risk, Asset Integrity, Chemical Process Engineering, Software Solutions or Gas Transmission & Distribution.

Throughout the graduate programme, you'll be assigned a mentor, providing ongoing advice and professional guidance to help you achieve your goals and accelerate your development. Your manager will also meet with you on a regular basis to discuss and review your progress and of course your colleagues will be there to welcome you and ensure you feel part of the team.

At GL Noble Denton we recognise that our company is built on our people and their knowledge. We encourage and support the development of our people, particularly to gain accreditation with the relevant professional bodies.  Your personal development plan (PDP) can include ongoing technical training, management training and further degrees. GL Noble Denton also offers support to achieve chartered engineer status and there are significant opportunities for those who have an appetite to work internationally on both short and long term assignments.
