Having recently been requested by one of our major clients to assist in reviewing/revising/updating their lifting equipment management system, we are seeking an experienced Lifting Equipment Engineer to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity, working with industry experts, to review/revise client's internal procedures/standards, etc. Your role mainly involves:

  • Review and recommend where applicable updates to all the lifting requirements to ensure all latest industry standards are encapsulated
  • Write procedures, standards, specifications and work instructions including lift plans for review and approval by customer
  • Conduct training courses in all types of lifting equipment
  • Ensure that the inspection and certification is carried out under an IACS company

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Hold a minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Have or Have had a Minimum level 2 in the following NDE techniques - UT, Radiography, MPI/DPI, Painting/Coatings
  • Minimum CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent in welding inspection
  • Lead auditor qualification with extensive years experience in the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and with formal experience as a Senior Surveyor in the oil & gas industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge on failure investigation of lifting equipment and international legislation & inspection standards

Competency Requirements

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Organised and proactive; Takes personal ownership of targets
