We have a brand new and exciting opportunity for the Master Mariners wanting to become Marine Surveyors and Hands-on Rigmove Towmasters with our shore based and specialised team of mariners in Singapore.

The role is ideally suited to seafarers wishing to come ashore and wanting to go places. You will be trained on-the-job as surveyor in the marine and offshore industry: a unique opportunity for ambitious candidates to embark upon an exciting career and to develop your skills and competency within the marine and oil and gas industry.


Once qualified you will continue with our marine department as part of a closely knit team, specializing in hands-on jack-up rig moves and providing marine warranty services, analysis and consultancy expertise to clients

Key dimensions of the training provided will involve:-

  • Pre-plan and attend rig moves as Tow Master & Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Marine Warranty Survey project work: load outs, transportation and towage approvals. 
  • Vessel and rig condition & suitability surveys. 
  • Marine inspections, assurance, accident investigations and independent audits.
  • Preparation of quotes, verification and marine consultancy support.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Class 1 Master Mariner (unlimited) - foreign going certification
  • Strong and varied background within the marine and/or offshore industry 
  • Knowledge of maritime rules and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications

Competency Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal/client facing skills
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills including strong report writing skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Technically and commercially astute
