To help drive our strategy of continued growth we now seek specialist in the field of Marine Surveying, with particular expertise in Marine Offshore Marine Operations.
Based from either our London or Aberdeen offices you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small offshore marine consultancy projects. Key accountabilities will include:-
- To be responsible for ensuring personal safety and that of direct report staff and subcontractors working for the company
- To collaborate with Mariners regarding operational and specialist marine matters
- Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the highest technical standards and current codes and standards, where necessary collaborating with the GL Noble Denton Technical Policy Board
- Ensuring that activities are completed in accordance with client contract requirements including project administration, change control, progress reporting towards the client and invoicing
- Support the preparation of bids in conjunction with the Marine Consultancy Manager and provide ongoing assistance for business development activities
- Provide mentoring and development of others in team
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:
Technical / Professional Expertise
- Master Mariner or will have sailed in the Rank of Chief Officer
- Will possess up to STCW 95 Certificate of Competency - II/I preferred but not essential
- Experience of providing mentoring/ development of more junior technical staff and contractors
- Demonstrable success in delivering Marine consultancy projects to time cost and quality
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the UK Offshore Industry, either on Vessels or MODU's
- Proven track record in business development activity. Demonstrable evidence of identifying opportunities, scoping and costing proposals and closing client negotiations
