Our Asset Optimisation team provides engineering technical support and consultancy to the international oil,  gas and LNG industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside other engineering experts, providing specialist consultancy on a variety of challenging LNG industry projects. To assist with the ongoing development and growth of our global LNG business, this role will focus on conceptual, feasibility and front end design studies through to debottlenecking and trouble shooting of operational LNG assets, both onshore and offshore

You'll be responsible for the successful delivery of specific projects as well as undertaking strategic business planning and business development activities and representing GL Noble Denton via key industry events and producing journal articles and papers. Key accountabilities will include:

  • Undertake delivery of specialist technical projects to the LNG industry, providing technical governance in areas of expertise, including coaching and mentoring of other team members as required
  • Successfully identify, develop and lead bid/negotiations for LNG opportunities across GL Noble Denton with existing and new customers, in line with business objectives and targets
  • Produce high quality internal or customer reports and other documentation as required and deliver papers to the wider industry through journals and conferences
  • Develop own expertise to maintain or become an acknowledged expert within the LNG industry
  • Build and manage strong internal/external customer relationships in establishing GL Noble Denton's LNG business
  • Develop clear understanding of current/emerging needs to ensure our solutions meet client needs.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in LNG with expertise in one or more of areas such as process design/modelling, techno-economic/commercial analysis, availability/reliability modeling, debottlenecking, safety and hazard assessment, performance improvement or conceptual/FEED work
  • Strong expertise, in one of the following areas; onshore/offshore design, commercial contracts, hazard and risk, project execution strategy or plant operations within oil/gas industry and preferably LNG
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and winning new business opportunities or evidence of successful project management experience for consultancy projects (and ideally evidence of programme management through 'repeat' business)
  • Engineering degree preferred
