Our Asset Optimisation team provides technical support and consultancy to the international Oil & Gas and LNG industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside other experts, providing specialist consultancy on a variety of challenging customer projects.

This role will require experience of wax and asphaltene deposition and prevention from both a practical and design perspective as well as knowledge in hydrates, scale and emulsion prediction, prevention and mitigation.

The role will cover provision of production chemistry expertise within the process and flow assurance teams covering all aspects including wax and asphaltene, hydrate, organic and inorganic scales, and emulsions prediction, prevention and mitigation

  • Delivering process engineering projects on Oil & Gas facilities to customer satisfaction
  • Produce high quality technical reports, data and other documentation for customers as required
  • Operating within formal QA standards and project procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring technical quality (in production chemistry), and being the custodian for methodologies, associated software and processes
  • Developing new business including initiating and closing out proposals

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Possesses Chemical/Process Engineering or Chemistry degree.  Chartered Engineer/Chemist  or working towards member status
  • Process engineering background in oil and gas or LNG, ideally in a consultancy environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in oil and gas industry
  • Experience in wax and asphaltene, hydrate, organic and inorganic scales, and emulsions prediction, prevention and mitigation
  • Solids prediction modelling using commercial software - Multiflash, Waxpro, OlgaWax
  • Knowledge of flow assurance techniques and use of modelling software such as Olga a benefit
  • Advanced IT skills including proficient Excel skills
