Senior Reliability Engineer

Our Safety, Risk and Reliability teams use in-house RAM modelling software to help clients maximise performance of their assets and the role will provide reliability engineering expertise and RAM modelling consultancy primarily to the international Oil & Gas and LNG industries.

The role will cover conceptual, feasibility and front end design studies through to debottlenecking and troubleshooting of operational assets for offshore platforms, pipelines, gas processing terminals and LNG facilities

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Delivering RAM projects on Oil & Gas facilities to customer satisfaction
  • Produce high quality technical reports, data and other documentation for customers as required
  • Build and develop strong customer relationships, establishing GL Noble Denton as a "Trusted Advisor", developing understanding of customer's current/emerging needs to ensure our solutions meet client needs
  • Operating within formal QA standards and project procedures
  • Depending on relevant experience and abilities, responsible for ensuring technical quality in the appropriate field(s), and being the custodian for methodologies, associated software and processes
  • Developing new business including initiating and closing out proposals

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Mathematics/Science/Engineering Degree
  • Demonstrable Reliability engineering background in oil and gas or LNG, ideally in a consultancy or design company
  • Proven experience in availability/reliability modelling, techno-economic analysis, supply chain logistics, concept selection, performance improvement
  • Experience of using Monte Carlo RAM modelling software
  • Advanced IT skills including proficient Excel skills.

  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge to provide insightful consultancy and advice to customers
  • Enhanced Analysis and Assessment skills - ability to solve Process Engineering problems using engineering judgement and principles
  • Delivery-focused, able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines
  • Effective communicator with enhanced oral and written presentation skills
  • Organised and proactive; Takes personal ownership to ensure achievement of goals and targets
