The GL Noble Denton Structural Integrity Management Competency Centre based in Slough, (UK) is focussed on delivering structural integrity to a range of offshore oil & gas assets worldwide.  We have an exceptional team of structural engineers providing consultancy services primarily to the oil and gas industry, both in the UK and worldwide.

To further enhance our FE capability within our organisation, we are seeking a specialist FE Analyst with work experience gained within the oil and gas industry.

The work focuses on managing offshore fixed structures, involving life extension, maintaining analysis models, assessing and designing modifications, maintaining Written Schemes of Examination, overseeing sub-sea and above water inspections, investigation of anomalies, designing repairs and maintenance of inspection records and storage of structural data.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

• Qualified to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering analysis and FE scopes of work, to time, cost and quality
• Practical experience of using offshore analysis software, such as: ASAS, SACS, SESAM, ABAQUS and USFOS
• Detailed knowledge and experience of working in accordance with international codes and standards e.g. API RP2A and AISC
• Preparation of bid / tender documentation and proposals for analysis scopes of work in addition to other business development activity
• Training / mentoring others in the use of advanced analysis packages

• Demonstrates strong technical knowledge to provide insightful consultancy and advice to customers
• Enhanced Analysis and Assessment skills - ability to solve Engineering problems using FE Analysis judgement and principles
• Delivery-focused, able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines
• Effective communicator with enhanced oral and written presentation skills
