Our GL Noble Denton MWS team in Egypt provides marine warranty services for complex operations associated with construction, the towage and installation of steel jackets, concrete structures, floating production facilities, pipelines and subsea equipment.
 

To meet our expanding workload we are looking to appoint a Naval Architect Engineer with a well founded background and experience from the offshore oil and gas industry.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will undertake a role in delivering offshore analysis work in Egypt.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Perform and review global stress for barge and vessels during transportation on 1st party and MWS projects.
  • Perform motion analysis, stability calculation, and mooring analysis
  • Perform pipelay analysis, and prepare installation procedure.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • B.Sc. Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
  • Well versed with SNAME, DNV, API and other international codes and standards.
  • Ability to use AutoCad, AQWA, SACS, MOSSES AND/OR other similar software exposure required.

Competency Requirements

  • Delivery-focused, able to manage tasks to tight deadlines
  • Organised and proactive; Takes personal ownership of targets
  • Strong interpersonal/client facing skills
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills incl. strong report writing skills.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
