We are currently looking to recruit a high calibre Master Mariner for the role as Rig move Tow Master / Marine Surveyor.

Working as a part of a closely knit team, the successful candidate will specialize in hands-on jack-up rig moves and provide marine warranty services, analysis and consultancy expertise to clients

The key dimensions of the role are:

  • Pre-plan and attend rig moves as Tow Master & Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Execute marine warranty survey (MWS) project work including load outs, transportation and towage approvals.
  • Vessel and rig condition & suitability surveys. 
  • Marine inspections, DP assurance, MCI and independent audits.
  • Preparation of quotes, verification and marine consultancy support.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Must hold class 1 Master Mariner (unlimited) - foreign going certification
  • Must have extensive track record of hands-on positioning jack-up drilling rigs to platforms, open location and within harbour.
  • Additional hands-on exposure to pilotage, vessel inspections, DP and/or warranty surveys would be a significant advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications

  • Excellent presentation & English communication skills incl. strong report writing skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Technically and commercially astute
