GL Noble Denton provides consulting and operations services for different types of marine operations: marine warranty, marine consulting, marine casualty investigations, marine operations and dynamic positioning.

We are currently looking for talented Marine Engineers for our Mumbai office.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join a team of professionals with an established and recognized expertise in marine and offshore engineering.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Undertake various marine surveys including condition, pre-purchase, suitability and consumables on/off hire.
  • Perform insurance damage and marine warranty survey (MWS) project works as required: typically including hull & machinery, P&I and cargo.
  • DP consultancy.
  • Preparation of quotes, verifications and consultancy support

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Chief Engineer Class 1 foreign going with seagoing hands-on experience ideally as Chief Engineer.
  • Proven track record in offshore engineering within marine sector.
  • Previous experience with load outs, transportation and towage approvals.
  • DP consultancy experience is highly advantageous

Competency Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and client facing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (word and Excel).
  • Excellent English communications and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Technically and commercially astute.
